We did three races: 1000m, 500m, 250m, and we came in 1st place! Afterwards, we took advantage of free beer and BBQ!!! We had a great time!
Our friends and families attended our family day event at the Olympic Basin. We paddled in the dragon boats for fun, had a great meal from Wok Cafe restaurant, and had a lot of fun!
On October 3rd, 2004, we took team pictures at the Olympic Basin to use on our team calendar. We sold many copies of our team calendar as fundraising. Afterwards, we decided to hang out for a while downtown and other places!
These are pictures of us at the 2004 Montreal International Dragon Boat Race Festival. This is when our mixed team, Phoenix Warriors became well-known.
On September 9, 2001, our men's team, Dragon Knights, participated in an event dedicated to underprivilaged children called the 767 Challenge. This challenge involved pulling an airplane as far as possible using a rope and a team of people.
Although we didn't win the award for the furthest distance, we did win the best team spirit award. In fact, the organizers of the 767 challenge has been asking us to come back every year because
our team spirit is very motivational.
