Product Marketing through Sponsorship
With our club competing in dragon boat competitions all around Canada with thousands of spectators, and participating in various social events, sponsoring with our club is a great way to market your company and products.
Our club has great potential to become national champions. We therefore require a lot of training to get to that level, which requires funds. So therefore, we require and are seeking sponsorship to give us financial support.
What are the Benefits?
Sponsorship creates image. For example, the first alcohol-free lagers of Guinness needed to get rid of their
"wimpish" image. To do so, Guinness sponsored motor racing to advertise their
non-alcoholic lager, Kalibur. By associating their product with such an intense sport,
they developed a macho image, and before they knew it, their sales increased dramatically.
The same example applies to sports drinks such as Gatorade, which has sponsored many sporting
events and organizations to increase their company name - and where are they now? they're
making millions of dollars and even being advertised on television all over the world!
Sponsorship improves company image. Dragon boat racing is a very financially-demanding sport (the rental of boats,
training equipment, training facilities, coaches, etc). Companies who give to the community are often approved by the public -
by sponsoring our dragon boat club, you will be perceived as putting people above profit, increasing the potential for more clients and customers.
By sponsoring us, you give the public the right message, as well as advertise your product.
Our Sponsorship Packages
Depending on how much you donate to our club, we will give you a specefic sponsorship package.
Below, is an outline of our sponsorship packages, each offering different opportunities for you to advertise your company and product.

Benefits
Gold Sponsorship ($10,000 or more):
12 inch company logo printed on our team banner. It is recommended that you supply us with a printed version of your company logo (12 inches) in sticker (decal) format, so that we may place it on our team banner.
Distribute free samples of your product at our team tent - for promotional purposes (optional).
Distribute business cards, brochures, and other documentation of your product at our team tent (optional).
We will give you a plaque of appreciation, so you may use as proof that you were our sponsor.
We will produce for you a music video on DVD of our club in appreciation to your contribution. The music video will include footage of our club competing in the MIDBRF race event, and giving your company and product great exposure as being part of our sponsorship.
Team photo taken with representative(s) of your company for promotional purposes and an appreciation plaque of thank you will be presented to you and your company from our dragon boat club. Our team logo and the logo of the Montreal International Dragon Boat Race Festival will be printed on and signed by our club president. This plaque is laser printed on a bronze metal plate mounted on an attractive hardwood frame.

Silver Sponsorship ($6000):

Our banner is displayed during the MIDBRF festival as well as many other activities we take part in such as the Canada Day parade.
With thousands of spectators and competitors in dragon boat events, our large banner will attract peoples attention towards your business/company's logo, which will help increase the number of clients/customers in your company.
This is a very demanding sport. It has taken a lot of commitment and self-sacrifice for each of us to make the team (which requires twenty paddlers on the boat, one steering person, one drummer, and two alternate paddlers). This is a significant issue for our sponsors to understand as we will always keep you informed of every decision that we proceed in our training and the time, place, and date of our competitions and events.
